On 1 January 2014 the St. Moritz Tourist Board – the oldest and most famous of its kind in Switzerland – handed over its operations and employees to the municipality of St. Moritz.
The municipality of St. Moritz subsequently founded the new tourism department "St. Moritz Tourism", which is divided into two sections: "Sports & Events" and "Infrastructure".
Since the establishment of the Engadin St. Moritz Tourism Organisation, which assumed responsibility for all marketing activities in 2008, St. Moritz has concentrated its efforts on the maintenance of its brand and the coordination and representation of the region’s tourist attractions. St. Moritz Tourism works in close collaboration with the Engadin St. Moritz Tourism Organisation.
